In this project, 100 students at Beam Camp in New Hampshire constructed a 2-ton paddleboat powered by a human hamster wheel.

We also incorporated bicycle-powered paddle wheels and a crows nest. The concept was developed by European architects and adapted for construction by adolescents. Young people learned skills in woodworking, mechanical engineering, welding, and sculptural processes.
