In this project, elementary school students in Bushwick, Brooklyn, worked collaboratively to create some of the great monuments of the ancient world. Students were challenged place themselves imaginatively in the role of ancient builders and artisans. They working in teams, “quarrying” new stones and designing statuary to integrate with architecture.
